KosmOS packages are released through its specific APT repository, split in three different distributions:
- kosmos: the stable versions distribution. Here are available latest software versions that are considered stable: here stable is referred mainly to packaging related issues, since software own stability is stated by its upstream maintainers.
- kosmos-old: here are available “previous-than-last” versions, to rollback to previous version if current one introduces a critical bug.
- kosmos-testing: astronomy-critical software new versions packages are released here. After some testing, they are moved to stable. Critical production systems wanting to avoid possible bugs introduction and not interested in latest features should not use this distribution.
